Stephanie of Nethyrwode
Stephanie of Nethyrwode was born into comfortable minor nobility in England in the late 1300s. Her parents had a passion for books, and nurtured her interests in the arts of illumination and calligraphy. The local abbey invited her to learn and polish these arts as a laywoman, while at the same time her mother trained her in estate management. For several years she ran her family’s small estate, augmented the family coffers by taking on commissions for books of hours, and provided scribal services to other local nobles.
As an older spinster, she unexpectedly caught the eye of an Irish-born privateer who would shortly be granted Arms and a Knighthood by the King and Queen of Meridies. Stephanie married Sir Griffin O’Suaird shortly thereafter and they relocated to Meridies to take up the reins of his new estate. She has since been granted Arms and Peerage in her own right by the Crown. A few years later, the Crown expanded Griffin’s and Stephanie’s holdings and raised them to the status of Court Baronage.
Stephanie continues her managing ways overseeing the Wayfarer estates within the Shire of Glaedenfeld. She stays busy with ongoing illumination projects, various other artistic endeavors, and riding herd on her and Sir Griffin’s increasingly large household of rambunctious associates.

Ysabel followed her father everywhere, learning what she could about his trade, making contacts from all European countries, and secretly training in the Arte of Defense as a means of protecting herself. During her travels, Ysabel met and fell in love with a bold pirate, much to her father's chagrin. They married and eventually took over her father's business.
