The Shire of Glaedenfeld invites all to come join us in Fighting, Feasting, and Fellowship at Iris Faire! We will have a full day of fighting with our traditional Golden Iris and Silver Iris Tourneys and melee practices. There will be a full day's activities planned for our A&S Workshop. Site is very discreetly wet. Due to contractual constraints, merchanting will not be allowed at Iris Faire this year.

Breakfast and Lunch included in the site fee. Kids 5 & under free. Per Kingdom Law no family to pay more than 3 Adult admissions as long as the children are age 15 and under and are members.

Directions

Take your best route to I-40 Exit 182 (Fairview/Dickson Hwy. 96 Exit). Turn West onto Highway 96. Stay on Highway 96 until it dead-ends at Highway 70. Turn right (East) on Highway 70, off-ramp provided. Stay on Highway 70 approximately 3 miles. Park entrance is on the right.

Rectangular construction: Nordic tunic Please pre-register for this class. Hands-on workshop to Pattern, Cut, and Sew your own Nordic Tunic. This is a pattern used for both undertunic and overtunic. Students requested to bring 3 1/2 to 4 yards of material (wool or linen is best - but cotton is OK) and thread to match. If you not making the tunic for yourself, contact Lady Muirghein at muirgheinir@yahoo.com for measurement instructions. Material may be available at class to purchase for cost (not more than $20), but colors and quality not guaranteed. Hand sewing and finishing techniques will also be discussed. Hafla

Spent all day fighting, studying hard in classes or working in the kitchen? Come join us at a Hafla (Arabic for party)! Dancing, live music provided by Jawahir ensemble, bonfire, period refreshment, hookahs, and more! Begins after feast at the covered picnic pavillion. Bring your drums, your dancing shoes and your friends!
